By Air
The nearest airport is in Guwahati. Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport connects with many Indian cities like Delhi, Kolkata, and Bangalore. From Guwahati you travel by road to Shillong which takes about 3 hours. After Shillong, Dawki is another 2 to 2.5 hour drive through hills and forests. Total travel time from Guwahati to Dawki is usually 5 to 6 hours.
By Train
The nearest big railway station is Guwahati Railway Station. Trains from many parts of India arrive here daily. After reaching Guwahati, take a taxi or shared cab to Shillong. From Shillong you can easily hire another taxi or local cab to Dawki. Many travelers follow this route when planning a Dawki trip.
By Road
Road travel is the most common way to reach Dawki. From Shillong to Dawki Distance is about 80 km Travel time is around 2 to 2.5 hours The road passes through hills, forests, and small Khasi villages.
