6. How to Reach Ampati

Ampati is not really difficult to reach but needs some planning for the journey.

From Shillong (capital of Meghalaya):

• Take a taxi or shared cab to Tura (Duration: 8-10 hours).

• Ampati is about 60 km away from Tura. You can find local taxis or buses from there.

From Guwahati (Assam):

• Catch a train or taxi reaching Tura or Dalu. 

• Local transport is easy from then on.

The roads may not be the smoothest, but this journey is worth it for the breathtaking views.
