Day 1 at Haridwar

Reached Haridwar tired but excited. The evening air felt warm and busy. I walked near the ghats and watched people sitting quietly by the river. Had simple food, dal and roti, nothing fancy but comforting. Slept early because the long drive ahead was already on my mind. Tip from experience, rest well here. The mountain roads demand energy.

Very different actually. You will not see Manali snowfall here in season. Expect green valleys and rain instead. Nights feel cool but not freezing, so layering clothes works best.

Yes, Hemkund Sahib is close and many people combine it. I added one extra day and it felt worth it. The climb is tougher but views stay with you long after.

Keep it simple. Reach Govindghat first, then trek to Ghangaria. From there the valley is a day walk. I downloaded offline maps before going, helped a lot when network disappeared.
