How to Reach Shoja
By Air
The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport. It is around 55 to 60 km from Shoja. From the airport you can take a taxi towards Aut. After Aut, the road climbs toward Shoja village through forest hills. The taxi ride usually takes about 2 to 3 hours.
By Train
The nearest railway station is Joginder Nagar Railway Station. However most travelers prefer reaching Chandigarh by train because it has better connectivity. From Chandigarh you can continue the journey by bus or taxi towards Aut and then Shoja.
By Road
Road travel is the most common way to reach Shoja Himachal. Major route many people take: Delhi → Chandigarh → Mandi → Aut → Shoja From Aut the road goes uphill for about 35 km through forests toward Jalori Pass, and Shoja village is located on this route. Himachal road buses and private taxis are available from Aut and Mandi.

Not really. Compared to Manali or Kasol it feels very calm. Even during peak season Shoja village stays quiet. That is why many travelers choose Shoja Tirthan Valley area now.
Yes, Shoja does get snowfall in winter months. Around December or January the village and forests turn white. It is not like Manali snowfall crowds though. The place still feels peaceful.
Most stays here are small homestays instead of big hotels. I stayed in a wooden house with valley views. Simple food, warm tea and friendly hosts. That actually made my Shoja Himachal trip better.
