Reached Bir by afternoon. Roads were a bit tiring but the air felt different here. Clean. Slightly cold. Checked into a small stay. Nothing fancy. But the balcony had mountains in front. How to Reach Bir Billing

By Air

Nearest airport is Kangra Airport at Dharamshala. From there, Bir is around 2 to 3 hours by taxi. Taxis are easily available outside the airport. Road journey is scenic. Bit curvy though, so if you get motion sick, be prepared.

By Train

Nearest big station is Pathankot Railway Station. From there, you can take a taxi or bus. It takes around 4 to 5 hours. There is also a small toy train route till Ahju. Not very fast. But kind of a different experience if you are not in a hurry.

By Road

Buses run from Delhi and nearby cities to Baijnath or Bir Road. Overnight buses are common. From the bus stop, you take a local taxi to reach Bir village. Last stretch is short but not walkable with luggage. Driving from Delhi takes around 10 to 12 hours. Roads are decent mostly. Last mountain section needs careful driving.
