Best Time to Visit

From October till March is the best time to visit Amalapuram. The weather during these months is cooler and very pleasant. Summers from April to June are very hot, with temperatures crossing 40°C. The monsoon season, from July to September, is characterized by heavy rainfall, which is a hindrance for the tourists, although it makes the surroundings greener.

How to Reach Amalapuram

By Road:

There are good road connections to Amalapuram. Buses or taxis from Rajahmundry (about 70 km) or Kakinada (about 60 km) can be taken to reach the place.

By Train:

There is no railway station at Amalapuram. The nearest ones are at Palakollu and Rajahmundry. From there, one can get a taxi or bus.

By Air:

The nearest airport is Rajahmundry Airport (RJA), situated approximately 80 km away. Direct flights are available from major cities such as Hyderabad and Chennai.

Where to Stay

Amalapuram has reasonably priced hotels and a few guesthouses. For a more lavish stay, decent options are available at the towns of Rajahmundry or Kakinada nearby.
