By Air

The nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport. It is around 80 km from the park.Flights are limited but taxis are available outside the airport. The drive takes around two to three hours. Roads are mostly smooth and the scenery slowly turns greener.Some travelers also use Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. It has more flights. From Delhi the park is roughly a five to six hour drive.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Ramnagar Railway Station. Direct trains run from Delhi, Moradabad and a few other cities. Once you arrive at Ramnagar, safari zones and resorts are only about fifteen to thirty minutes away by taxi.Many visitors actually prefer train travel. It feels simple and relaxed.

By Road

Road travel is one of the easiest ways to reach the park. From Delhi the distance is around 250 km. The drive usually takes five to six hours depending on traffic. The route goes through places like Moradabad and Kashipur. The roads are fairly good and many people choose a self drive trip.Buses and private taxis also run regularly to Ramnagar.

These days Jim Corbett Safari Booking Online is the safest option. I tried booking two days before and it was already full in one zone. So planning a little early helps.

I stayed about three days and that felt comfortable. Two safaris, one slow river evening, and some local food. Rushing the trip does not feel right here.

No real snowfall here. The park is much lower in altitude. If someone wants snow they usually go towards Himachal where Manali snowfall happens in winter. Jim Corbett is more about forests and wildlife.
