Arjuna's Penance is the ancient giant rock carving said to be one of the largest in the world, situated in the ancient town of Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu, India. The Best Time to Visit

Mahabalipuram is hot almost throughout the year; hence, November to February is the best time to see it, with cooler weather. The early morning and late afternoon preferably suit the viewing of carvings in soft sunlight that will bring out their details.
