Yes it happens often near Sela Pass and Bum La. I saw light snow during my visit. Not heavy Manali snowfall style though, but still enough to make the mountains look magical.
There are not too many organized adventure activities in Tawang. But the high mountain drives and trekking around lakes feel adventurous already. The terrain itself gives that feeling.
Four to five days inside Tawang works well. Add travel days from Guwahati too. The Tawang itinerary should stay slow. Rushing here honestly ruins the experience.
