DAY 1

Day 1Arrival at NJP Railways Stations - Transfer to Phuentsholing

The distance between NJP Railway Station and Phuentsholing is 170 km and will be covered in approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Upon arrival at NJP Railway Station, meet with friendly representatives and transfer to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan by road from India.
Upon reaching Phuentsholing, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the night at leisure.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Evening visit to Zangtho Pelri Lhakhang.

DAY 2

Day 2Transfer to Thimphu From Phuentsholing

The distance between Phuentsholing and Thimphu is 175 km and will be covered in approximately 6 hours.
After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.), the capital city of Bhutan. Upon reaching Thimphu, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the night at leisure. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

DAY 3

Day 3Thimphu Sightseeing - Overnight Stay at Thimphu

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get picked up from the hotel, tentatively at 8:30 AM, for local sightseeing as listed below. After completing all the sightseeing, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Thimphu.

DAY 4

Day 4Thimphu - Transfer to Punakha for Phobjikha Valley

The distance between Thimphu and Phobjikha Valley is 130 km and will be covered in approximately 4 hours.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get picked up from the hotel, tentatively at 8:00 AM, for Phobjikha Valley.
After completing all sightseeing, you will transfer to Punakha hotels.
After reaching, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay in Punakha.
Phobjikha Valley is a bowl-shaped glacial valley on the western slopes of the Black Mountains, bordering the Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park.
Due to the large flock of black-necked cranes that winter here, it is one of the most important wildlife preserves in the country.
In addition to the cranes, there are also muntjacs (barking deer), wild boars, sambars, serows, Himalayan black bears, leopards, and red foxes in the surrounding hills.
The Nakey Chhu drains the marshy valley, eventually flowing into the lower reaches of the Punak Tsang Chhu.
Some people refer to this entire region as Gangte (or Gangtey), after the goemba that sits on a ridge above the valley.
Visit Chimi Lhakang on foot, the temple of fertility associated with the religious art of phallus.
En route, visit Wangdi Ruin Dzong and Gangtey Gompa, the largest and only monastery of the Nyingmapa sect in western Bhutan.

DAY 5

Day 5Punakha for Local Sightseeing - Transfer to Paro

The distance between Punakha and Paro is 120 km and will be covered in approximately 4 hours.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get picked up from the hotel, tentatively at 8:30 AM, for local sightseeing as listed below. After completing all the sightseeing, you will transfer to Paro. Upon reaching Paro, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 6

Day 6Paro Local Sightseeing & Paro Tiger's Nest

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get picked up from the hotel, tentatively at 8:30 AM, for local sightseeing as detailed below.
After completing all the sightseeing, return to the hotel and spend the rest of the night at leisure.
Overnight stay in Paro.

Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest):
It is one of the most famous monasteries in Bhutan, perched on the side of a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley floor.
It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery, which is why it is called "Tiger's Nest".
This site has been recognized as a sacred place and was visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646, and is now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime.
On April 19, 1998, a fire severely damaged the main structure of the building, but this Bhutanese jewel has since been restored to its original splendor.
Guests will have ponies available for hire to trek to this monastery.

DAY 7

Day 7Transfer to the Phuentsholing - Overnight Stay at Phuentsholing

The distance between Paro and Phuentsholing is 165 km and would be covered in approximately 5 hours.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get picked up from the hotel, tentatively at 9:30 AM. Upon reaching Phuentsholing, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the night at leisure. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

Day 8Phuentsholing – Transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB)

The distance between Phuentsholing and Bagdogra Airport (IXB) is 160 km and will be covered in approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get picked up from the hotel for transfer to NJP / Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
