• Mui Borok- Traditional Tripuri dish of fish and vegetable.

Ambassa is home to different tribal communities like Tripuri, Reang, and Jamatia tribes. The tribes hold their cultures very dear to them, and if you go there during festivals, you'll see beautiful traditional dresses worn and lots of dancing and music.  It is an amazing opportunity to go there during Garia Puja, a local tribal festival observed in April, which is an occasion that celebrates nature and agriculture. The custom includes drumming, dancing, and rites.  The visitors are often invited to watch and, sometimes, even dance along. Unakoti

A few hours away from Ambassa, Unakoti is an ancient rock-cut site, with massive stone carvings of more than 1000 years old. The sculptures are created in honor of Lord Shiva and are mysterious and magical all at the same time.

Jampui Hills

Known as Eternal Hills of Spring, Jampui Hills endowed wonderful views especially during the sunrise. The aroma of the orange plantations and pure air provides a wonderful day trip or an overnight stay.

Dumboor Lake

Less untamed than any of the above, this touring lake-60 km away-is made for boating and bird-watching. Nature hearts can retreat here amidst the clusters of 48 islands encircling Dumboor Lake.
