DAY 1

Day 1 : Arrival in Leh | Acclimatization & BriefingArrive in Leh and transfer to your hotel, where the first focus is simple slow down and let your body adjust to the altitude. The crisp mountain air, the silence, and the vast landscapes around you already start setting the tone for what’s ahead.By evening, you meet the rafting team for a detailed briefing understanding the river, the equipment, and what this expedition truly demands. It’s not just about rafting, it’s about preparing mentally and physically.A short walk through Leh market adds a cultural touch prayer flags, local cafés, and a glimpse into Ladakhi life before you settle in for the night.

DAY 2

Day 2 : Leh to Padum | Into Zanskar ValleyAfter breakfast, you begin one of the most scenic drives of the trip entering deeper into the remote Zanskar Valley.The journey itself feels like an experience: endless mountain ranges, changing terrains, rivers cutting through valleys, and long stretches of silence that remind you how far you are from the usual world.It’s a long drive, but never tiring every turn brings a new landscape. By evening, you reach Padum and settle into your stay, resting up for the expedition that begins tomorrow.

DAY 3

Day 3 : Rafting Begins | Padum to ZanglaToday, the real adventure begins. After gearing up and a final briefing, you step into the raft and enter the mighty Zanskar River for the first time.The initial stretch allows you to understand the rhythm of the river paddling through wide valleys and gradually entering deeper canyon sections. Towering rock walls rise around you, and the sense of scale becomes surreal.After 5–6 hours on the water, you reach your riverside campsite near Zangla. The evening slows down setting up camp, sharing stories, enjoying a BBQ dinner, and lying under a sky full of stars with no city lights around.

DAY 4

Day 4 : Zangla to Neyrak | Into the Heart of the CanyonAs you continue downstream, the landscape becomes more dramatic. The river carves its way through deeper gorges, with massive canyon walls surrounding you on both sides.This stretch is less about speed and more about immersion the silence, the scale, and the untouched beauty of the Himalayas. You begin to settle into the rhythm of expedition life paddle, pause, observe, repeat.Reaching Neyrak campsite by afternoon, the evening is calm sitting by the river, absorbing the surroundings, and experiencing a rare kind of stillness.

DAY 5

Day 5 : Neyrak to Lamaguru | The Thrill DayThis is where the river shows its real power.The rapids become stronger, the sections more technical, and the experience more intense. Every rapid demands focus, teamwork, and trust in your guide.Between the high-energy moments, there are pauses including a scenic waterfall stop where you catch your breath and take in the surroundings.By the time you reach Lamaguru campsite, there’s a sense of achievement in the air. The evening feels quieter, more reflective you’ve now truly experienced the river.

DAY 6

Day 6 : Final Stretch to Sangam | Return to LehThe final day on the river begins with a mix of excitement and nostalgia.The rapids return with energy Class III & IV sections giving you one last rush before the journey ends.As you pass through Chilling village and approach Sangam, the landscape opens up, and you witness the powerful confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers a moment that marks the completion of the expedition.From here, you drive back to Leh, returning to comfort but with a completely different perspective than when you arrived.

DAY 7

Day 7 : Departure | Journey EndsAfter breakfast, transfer to the airport.What began as a trip now feels like an experience layered with challenge, silence, connection, and discovery. The river, the mountains, and the moments in between, they stay with you long after you leave.
