• December to February: In the colder months of December to February, clear skies usher in a mountain air freshness that is so perfect for outdoor hiking and going to the waterfalls. These two months also bring joyful festivals and are the driest of the year. A light sweater would suffice for the coolness of the nights, particularly Maragusan. Travel is during this time if you want to hike without the sweltering sun around you.

• Holy Week (March-April): During the early part of March till mid-April, it is at this time when towns come to life with processions, traditions and gatherings. Obviously, some destinations will be crowded, but here, culture has its own appeal. Resorts and hotels would be fully booked, so it is better to reserve a space earlier.
