WELCOME TO SRINAGAR
Upon arrival at the Srinagar Airport/Railway Station, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, who will assist you with a comfortable transfer to your designated houseboat. After check-in and some time to freshen up, set out to explore the timeless beauty of Srinagar, often referred to as the “Venice of the East.”
Begin your sightseeing with visits to the city’s most enchanting attractions — the Mughal Gardens including Botanical Garden, Pari Mahal, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, set against the majestic backdrop of the Zabarwan Range. Take a serene Shikara ride on Dal Lake, gliding past floating gardens and vibrant houseboats, as the reflections of the mountains shimmer on the water’s surface.
In the evening, return to your houseboat for a comfortable overnight stay, surrounded by the tranquility and charm of Srinagar.
Note: Srinagar sightseeing will be arranged based on the availability of time on the day of arrival.
FULL DAY EXCURSION TO GULMARG
After breakfast, proceed for a scenic drive to Gulmarg, renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views and lush landscapes. En route, enjoy the mesmerizing vistas of the Kashmir countryside.
Upon arrival, you can explore the charming attractions of Gulmarg on foot, horseback, or by ATV (at your own expense). Key highlights include the historic Maharani Temple, built in 1915 by Mohini Bai Sisodia, and the St. Mary’s Church, an exquisite early 20th-century British era chapel - both accessible via pony rides. A Gondola ride is highly recommended for an unforgettable experience, offering sweeping views from Kongdoori (Phase I) to Apharwat Peak (Phase II)- one of the highest cable car points in Asia. (Operational from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, subject to weather conditions.)
In the evening, return to Srinagar and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.
TRANSFER FROM SRINAGAR TO PAHALGAM
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Pahalgam, passing through Pampore, Avantipora, and the village of Bijbehara, famous as the breadbasket of Kashmir. The route continues via Khanabal and the city of Anantnag, before turning scenic along the Lidder River. On arrival, check in to your hotel.
In Pahalgam, you may explore Chandanwari (3,288 m), Aru Valley, and Betaab Valley at your own cost via union cabs.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Pahalgam.
PAHALGAM SIGHTSEEING AND TRANSFER TO SRINAGAR
Explore the region’s most scenic spots:
• Aru Valley – A charming village known for its verdant meadows, snow-draped peaks, and peaceful ambiance, perfect for photography and short walks.
• Betaab Valley – Famous for its cinematic beauty, this lush green valley features crystal-clear streams and rolling landscapes straight out of a movie scene.
• Chandanwari – A serene spot and the gateway to the sacred Amarnath Yatra, offering mesmerizing views of the surrounding mountains. Spend some leisurely time by the riverside or explore Pahalgam’s local market, known for its Kashmiri handicrafts, woollens, and souvenirs.
Later in the afternoon, depart for Srinagar.
Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious dinner and relax with an overnight stay at your hotel.
FULL DAY EXCURSION TO SONAMARG
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Sonamarg, located approximately 115 km from Gulmarg (about 3 hours’ drive). Known as the “Meadow of Gold,” Sonamarg sits at an altitude of 2,743 m and marks the gateway to the Ladakh region. The town is surrounded by snow capped mountains, alpine trees, and vibrant meadows, offering breathtaking natural beauty. The vehicle will drop you at the main parking area.
Visitors can explore the Thajiwas Glacier (3 km from the town) via a walk or pony ride (at extra cost), where snow remains year-round. The trek passes through lush greenery, streams, and waterfalls, offering spectacular views of the glacier and surrounding hills. Adventurous travelers can enjoy sledge rides, walk across the glacier, or camp in the pristine surroundings.
Sonamarg also offers panoramic views of the Zojila Pass (3,528 m) and a sparkling blue lake amidst verdant meadows. Adventure enthusiasts can opt for rafting expeditions at an additional cost.
Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay at your hotel.
SRINAGAR SIGHTSEEING AND DEPARTURE FROM SRINAGAR
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed for Srinagar sightseeing, exploring the city’s most captivating attractions before
your departure.
Begin your day with a visit to the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh (Garden of Delight), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), and Chashme Shahi (Royal Spring) – all beautifully set along the banks of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains as a stunning backdrop. Next, visit the sacred Shankaracharya Temple, perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of Srinagar and Dal Lake. You may also stop by the Hazratbal Shrine, known for its peaceful aura and spiritual significance.
If time permits, take a leisurely drive along Boulevard Road, lined with majestic Chinar trees, and enjoy some last-minute shopping for Kashmiri handicrafts, Pashmina shawls, and dry fruits in the local market.
